What a great movie to kick off Women’s History Month. A list is created every year and it has been a toxic status quo until a student opens her eyes. Vivian becomes inspired by her mom’s rebellious past. She creates a zine for her school but keeps it anonymous thus having the content stand for itself. It challenges the school’s sexist policies. The young men and women at her school become united and want change. It starts with hearts and stars and I hope you see how it ends. I loved this movie because feminism, people loving themselves and standing up for their peers. Who will your favorite character be? Maybe I’ll share mine.
