If you do not know about Sam Cooke, this is the doc for you. This documentary is about the life and death of Sam Cooke. He rose to popularity as a soul singer but that was not the only thing he was. We learn about his his politics and his persistence to be a man for the people. He broke barriers for future black artist. It discusses the circumstances and controversy surrounding Sam Cooke’s murder. After watching this, what do you think really occurred? I enjoyed this doc because I got to learn about Sam’s his music, family and struggles.
